Every year, Apple holds numerous events where eager fanatics wait for the news on their favorite products. When it comes to the iPod and its line of MP3 Players, Apple fans cannot get enough of what they have to offer. In September of 2010, Apple gave fans their first look at the 4th generation iPod Shuffle. The Shuffle has always been the smallest iPod on the market, and it allows those who want to just listen to music the opportunity to do that without fiddling with click wheels, touch screens and all the work that goes into using the device.

The 4th generation iPod Shuffle brings back the clickable controls from the first two generations of the device. It also offers a VoiceOver service and button. The service itself came from the 3rd generation and features over 20 languages for consumers to take advantage of on the Shuffle. It lets you utilize playlists and the Genius service through iTunes when plugged in and on the go. It was released in five different colors: Blue, Green, Orange, Pink and Silver. Silver uses a black control button while the others come with the standard Apple white color. It was originally released in 2GB versions and did not come with the remote control many consumers utilized. That can be bought separately.

While the 4th generation iPod Shuffle did not revolutionize the device, it built on the great factors the small MP3 player already had to offer. The Shuffle is an easy to use, affordable solution for consumers who do not want to invest in a more complicated device. The price on the Shuffle also makes it ideal for kids who want an iPod but who may not be ready for the responsibilities of the bigger gadgets. The 4th generation iPod Shuffle is sure to be a stepping stone to "bigger" and better things for the unit.
