How to Beat the First Mission in GTA: San Andreas

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas changed the whole world of GTA as gamers knew it. It introduced a new main character CJ who returns to San Andreas after receiving word that his mother has passed away. As he’s in his taxi heading home, a CRASH team led by Officer Tenpenny pulls the car over. Officers Pulaski and Hernandez are also with Tenpenny. Tenpenny is voiced by Samuel L. Jackson if you are trying to place the voice.

They accuse CJ of carrying drugs in the taxi and arrest him. After secluding him, they also try to pin the murder of fellow Officer Pendelbury on him. CJ is forced to help CRASH when they call upon him or else they will officially charge him and send him to prison for life. Even though he has more important things on his mind, he has no option but to agree to Tenpenny’s demands. CJ is no push over, but he knows when to fight a battle and when to give in until down the line.

The first quest in GTA: San Andreas is called “In the Beginning…” It gives you a cut scene detailing the above scenario and then instructs you to find your way to CJ’s mom’s house. It is located on Grove Street. You can either walk or run there. You can also hop on a bicycle to get their quicker. Hop on the bicycle and get a feel for how to use it. It can take some practice to get the hang of it. You want to pedal your way to the icon on the map. Should you get lost, you can take a look and head in the right direction. It is not terribly far to CJ’s mom’s house. Once you arrive, you will be able to open up the rest of San Andreas to begin playing through CJ’s storyline.
