Megaupload offers reward points for users who utilize the service frequently.  As long as you are downloading legal files that abide by the web site's terms and conditions, you can earn points towards Megaupload Premium accounts and even cash.  Every time you download a file, you earn one point towards Megaupload's rewards program.  Once you reach a certain amount of points, you can cash them in.  However, you can hold onto points to wait for even larger rewards down the line.  It can take some time to earn cash rewards, but if you utilize the service legally, it can be done with a lot of patience.

There are six tiers of Megaupload Reward Points that vary from Premium account time to cash. You can save points to earn a bigger reward over time or cash them in right away. No matter what you decide to do, once you turn in your Reward Points, you cannot change your mind. If you opt for a cash reward, it can take ten to 14 days to have it sent to a qualifying PayPal account.

Megaupload Rewards occur in the following tiers:

• 10000 Points: Megaupload Premium (one month)
• 50000 Points: Megaupload Premium (six months)
• 100000 Points: Megaupload Premium (one year)
• 500000 Points: Megaupload Lifetime (permanent) and $500 (USD)
• 1000000 Points: $1500 (USD)
• 5000000 Points: $10000 (USD)

The first thing to know is that if you are using Megaupload to download illegal files, such as movies or music under copyright, you cannot earn reward points.  Megaupload screens accounts earning points, and if you are caught cheating the system, you can be banned from the service entirely and reported to the authorities.  In order to earn files, it is relatively simple.  For every single file you download, you earn one single point; only one download per IP address on a given file in a single day counts towards these points.  Once you reach the point threshold for a given reward tier, you can cash them in and get that reward.
