How to Use Google+'s Block Feature
Google+ has two different but similar features to deal with people on the social network you would rather not interact with: Block and ignore. Ignore is a low key version of block which aims to stop those you do not know from tagging and commenting. Block, however, completely stops a person from interacting with you at all both in the past and present on the site. Google+ has ensured that block is an effective way to stop dealing with individuals on the network.
In order to block someone on Google+, go to their profile and click "Block". You will see this on the right side of their profile. You will need to confirm blocking them, but once they are blocked, they will be cut off from you until you decide to take that block off. When you block a person on Google+, you will no longer see their content but they will still be able to see yours if they keep you in their Circles. They will automatically be removed from your Circles, though. They will no longer be able to comment or tag on any content from that point forward or anything in the past, even if they have commented before. They also will not be able to tag you in any posts they make.
Google+ does not notify the person they have been blocked but when they decide to comment or tag you, they will be alerted that they cannot do that. Google+ has done its best to make blocking someone easy if necessary. If you accidentally block someone, you just need to visit their page again and click the "Block" link again. They will then begin to be able to interact with you once more. Blocking and ignoring are two great features added to Google+ that gives you control over who you interact with outside your Circles.
