What is QuestHelper?
QuestHelper is a third party add-on for World of Warcraft that makes it easy to complete quest objectives and figure out where to turn them in. Once installed, the add-on offers directional arrow that tells you where to go to complete a quest and where to turn it in once done. It also adds additional information to an enemy or collectible item so you do not have to seek out what to kill or collect to finish a quest. The add-on also modifies the mini-map and full map to make it easier to see where to go and what areas to travel to when questing. QuestHelper makes things easier for those overwhelmed when starting the game. The add-on seeks to help you level as quick as possible by calculating the shortest distance between quest objectives.
How to use QuestHelper
QuestHelper can be installed via the Curse Client or by simply dropping it into the WoW program folders for add-ons. Once installed, you can access the options for the add-on in-game with a variety of text commands. QuestHelper can be customized to include group and raid objectives and offers a solo mode so you can see everything going on with each quest. It also lets you know what level quests are so you know if you are getting in over your head. When you pick up a new quest, QuestHelper automatically calculates the best route for completing every quest in your log in the most efficient manner.
Are there alternatives to QuestHelper?
With the release of patch 3.3.0, Blizzard has introduced its own version of QuestHelper in the game. While this may help some, many users might feel more comfortable with QuestHelper since they have been using it longer. Depending on what interface works better for you, one or the other might prove to be more beneficial for you as you are questing in Azeroth. EveryQuest and GuruQuest are also alternatives to use as add-ons for questing and leveling.
