How to Clean Handheld Gaming Screens

Cleaning a handheld gaming system screen should be on the list of good maintenance. Without taking the time to clean it, or your child's system, you might as well send the handheld system to an early grave. Cleaning the system can have an impact on game play, longevity and the overall usability of the handheld device.
First and foremost, you want to have a soft washcloth, gentle paper towels and Windex available. You might also want to have some Q-Tips handy. Spray some Windex into a paper towel and apply pressure directly to the screen. Wipe the screen in circles, making sure to never linger in one section too long. Circles help get every area of the screen as opposed to wipe left or right or any other way you might have been taught.
Once the screen is clean and streak free, wipe it down with the wash cloth gently from left to right or vice versa to make sure it is completely dry. From there, use the Q-Tips and clean the edges of the screen where you could not reach with the paper towel and Windex. Do not wet the Q-Tips before hand, just use them dry, as excess liquid even in the smallest bit could seep into the corners and saturate the screen destroying it in the process. This is the reason why you never want to spray Windex or any other liquid directly onto a screen no matter that size.
Preventative maintenance is a good idea on any device that is handheld. The more you use it, the more likely it will not last as long as it could. By taking maintenance seriously and cleaning your handheld gaming system, you will keep it running like knew for as long as it runs. These tips and tricks are just some of the easiest ways to do just that for any handheld gaming system screen.
