Now that everybody is utilizing Bluetooth headsets, syncing them to a mobile phone has become a task anybody can do.  While you can still get your mobile phone provider to do it for you, if you opt to change phones or otherwise need to resync, knowing how to do it yourself can be easier than relying on someone else.  Depending on the Bluetooth headset, some can be easier to sync than others.

First and foremost, make sure to keep your manual that came with the Bluetooth headset. This will give you the basic steps to sync the headset to your cell phone. In some cases, you may have to refer to the manual that came with the phone to see how to sync the headset. Refer to both before you begin the sync process that way you have something to fall back on if you forget how to do it, run into problems or cannot remember how to sync the Bluetooth headset.

Next, make sure to turn on both your phone and your headset. This will allow both devices to pick up one another. If your phone has an automatic sync option for pairing the headset and phone, utilize it. This will scan the airwaves for Bluetooth headsets and show them on your phone screen. From there, you can choose the headset and sync it for use.

Finally, test to make sure the connection is secure and working.  You should make and receive a call to ensure.  You also want to make sure that the other functions of the Bluetooth headset work in conjunction with the phone.  What use is a Bluetooth headset that will not pick up calls, change the volume levels or even inform you of an incoming phone call?  It may take some time to figure out how to sync the Bluetooth headset, but it is well worth it to know how to do it down the line.
