Norton 360 is an all-inclusive security suite replacing Norton's Internet Security bundle. 360 is meant to be an anti-virus, anti-spyware and backup software suite. It seeks to bring a new user-controlled aspect to keeping a computer safe. The addition of backup software, including use of Norton's servers to store files, is a new feature for their suite in this release. By adding data backup, Norton 360 provides full protection from anything that may befall your computer.

For even the most experienced Norton fan, the upgrade from previous version to 360 can be mind boggling. The entire graphic user interface has changed and takes some time to get used to. Previous versions of Norton, mainly SystemWorks, were much easier to navigate than 360 at first. Once you get the hang of it, 360 proves to be a formidable evolution of the Norton security suite.

One of the first things you have to get used to is the pop-ups. If you change security settings, Norton will let you know about it every chance it gets. You can turn the pop-ups off, but they will continue to pop up every now and then to remind you. This proves annoying if you do not utilize the data backup options in 360. The software continuously reminds you that you have the option to backup data, you need to backup data and whether or not you are backing up data.

Overall, Norton 360 offers an extensive protection plan for any computer. If you are worried about viruses, spyware and other forms of intrusion, 360 has you covered. It may take some time to get used to, and you may have to invest in data backup through Norton, but it is well worth the installation. Norton offers security like nobody else, and they know how to do it right; 360 is just one more way of showing they can get it done.
